Healthy, Delicious Granola… That Kids LOVE

Healthy, Delicious Granola… That Kids LOVE

It’s always difficult to find a healthy recipe that your kids actually enjoy. This is perfect because it can be used for cereal, or a snack or topped on some yogurt.

I usually make this recipe in bulk because I cannot keep it in the pantry! The kids love it (so much so, that they actually sneak it… no joke). Hey, I’m not that mad about it… better than sweets!

It’s super easy if you are slightly challenged in the kitchen, like me, and it’s also fun to make WITH your kids. ENJOY!

Ingredients:
8 cups rolled oats
2 cup sliced almonds
2 cup chopped pecans
2 cup raw pumpkin seeds
2 cup raw walnuts
1 cup grape seed oil
1/2 cup honey
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup of chia seeds
Tip:

You can use more/less nuts, whatever you prefer. You can play around with the ingredients and add more of other things you like and eliminate anything you don’t. This is a loose guideline of the recipe. I usually make way more than this so I guesstimate for some of the measurements when I make more. I also like to add some coconut oil (maybe a few tablespoons) and more chia.

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients together and toss. Then, mix the wet ingredients together. Combine all ingredients and toss them together. Cook for 2-4 increments of 10 minutes mixing the granola in between each. Depending on how large of a batch you are making, it may take more time.

*I like to take a spoonful, let it cool, and if it’s crunchy, that’s when I know it’s done. I will also be sharing a video of this recipe. Stay tuned!*
