Dear Sugar Confessional: Forgive or Not?
As Seen On DearSugar

This week's confession:

"I wish one day you would tell me you have some secret real loving feelings for me instead of just the sex talk all the time. I have never let anyone use me like I let you. I know I am worth more than just sex yet I always crawl back to you each and every time. You are my weakness. Should I forgive myself for letting someone blatantly take advantage of me?"

ABOUT THE SITE:

Last March, my 6 yr old son Owen staggered out of his bedroom and projectile vomited all over himself, my nightgown and my notoriously difficult to clean sea grass carpeting. I sponged off my son and took a quick shower before heading bleary-eyed back to bed. But there was no chance in hell that I was cleaning up a hot, gloopy mess at 3am. Instead, I left it on the carpet hoping the dog would eat it. That's right...I left it there in all it's smelly, steamy glory.

The next day, I confessed my dirty domestic secret to a girlfriend. She both winced in disgust and applauded me for my ingenuity. What I learned over our quick exchange was that for me, the mere act of confessing to a less-than-perfect motherly moment provided much needed relief. And for my girlfriend, it provided an opening to tell her own tales from the trenches.

Two months later, True Mom Confessions was born. Finally, a place where women could confess their fears, frailties and fantasies (or their own throw up stories) without any risk of judgment or consequence. Thanks to a collection of very talented people (Katie, Tucker, Rebecca...thank you) we launched the site and the confessions followed. We provided a simple platform and now mothers from around the globe add their voices to the ever evolving conversation about what motherhood really is....not what it should be.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER:

Romi Lassally is the mother of Owen and his sisters, Phoebe (17) and Annabel (9). As said above, Romi's parental foibles led to the creation of True Mom Confessions and the other sites under her True Media banner.

Like her fellow mothers on TMC, Romi has been (and struggled with the complexities of) all of the acronyms mentioned in the confessions: a SAHM (stay at home mom), a WOM (working mom out of the home), and is currently a SAHWM (you guessed it - a stay at home working mom). Also like her fellow mothers on TMC, she often thinks the grass is greener on the other side (of the mommy divide)...but deep down she knows it's not and everyday tries not to beat herself up for not making it through her long "to do" list.

Prior to entering the online world of confessions, Romi was a founding editor for the lifestyles section of The Huffington Post and a contributing editor to several parenting magazines. And before that... Romi spent over a decade in traditional media working as an executive and a producer in the entertainment industry. Romi lives in Los Angeles with her gaggle of kids, her husband Tom and 2 dogs.

**And in case you are wondering about the dog and the throw up...no, he didn't eat it. Romi had to clean it up the next morning.
